BOUNDARIES 101
Friday, June 7, 2024 12:00 PM EST
A free crash course for people-pleasers, over-committers, and conflict-avoiders.
Gain an accurate understanding of boundaries
Boundaries are a buzzword, but there is so much misinformation and misinterpretation of healthy boundaries. This course will explain boundaries in a way that will make sense, including boundary types, styles, myths, barriers, and benefits.
Clarify your personal rights, preferences, and find your power
Get to know your repressed feelings and needs and step into the empowerment of believing that they matter. Recogize the difference between giving up your power, accessing your authentic power, and the pitfalls of “power-over” attempts.
Discern requests, consequences, and non-negotiables
Unpack the difference between making requests of others and stepping into action for getting your own needs met. Identify your wants vs. needs and your preferences vs. deal-breakers. Learn strategies for practicing self-honoring and acting on what is in your power.
Walk away with actionable plans for honoring yourself
Once you have accurate information about how boundaries work, begin to walk through real-life examples of how to examine your preferences and needs, look at your options for getting your needs met, and communicate and act on boundaries.
