NAOMI KENNEDY, LMFTA

If we allow for it, difficult emotions can act as a guide to understanding and changing our lives.

Naomi’s Approach

I strive to be a warm, steady presence in therapy, offering support while helping you explore the deeper roots behind your tough patterns and emotional pain. I work from an emotion-focused lens, and will help you reshape the way you show up for yourself and others. Learning how to process and understand our emotions can feel like learning a new language, especially when you have been taught to numb or ignore what you feel. I’ll guide you in noticing how emotions show up for you, reconnecting with yourself in ways that lead to healing, and moving toward consistency and trust in your relationships. Whether we’re addressing cycles of conflict, rebuilding trust, or unpacking the roots of trauma or addiction, I aim to create a space that feels safe, grounded, and compassionate for doing that work. My work with you will be grounded in values that matter to me both personally and professionally: connection, accountability, integrity, and perseverance. I believe that real change can start with new insights, but it lasts with the willingness to take ownership and to grow with others.

If you:

  • Feel stuck in patterns that make your relationship feel like a chore

  • Don’t know how to express your wants and needs

  • Are struggling with the aftermath of relationship trauma

  • Want to find ways of coping that don’t involve numbing your pain

  • Feel trapped by betrayal or addiction and kept from living the life you want

I’ll help you:

  • Reconnect with wounded parts of yourself and release the heavy weight of trauma

  • Discover how to practice honesty and safety with yourself and others

  • Understand the roots that lie beneath the surface of destructive behaviors

  • Find a path forward using your values after immense hurt

  • Develop better ways of responding to your pain that honor who you want to be

More About Naomi

My own experiences with loss and life transitions have given me many opportunities to see how much we as humans are shaped by connections. This is what ultimately led to my decision to become a therapist, and to focus on relational healing. I recognize that life is not linear and some moments are far more painful than others. In my own moments like this, I have known firsthand how healing it can be to feel truly heard and understood. I want to offer this kind of space for you as well as we navigate your process towards growth and positive change.
