ALLISON KENNEBECK, LMFTA
I’ll help you leverage your strengths to work through your biggest challenges.
Allison’s Approach
I want to help clients focus on telling their stories, seeing their problems as separate from their person, and focus on how they can identify the strengths and challenges they have overcome as ways to move forward. I help my clients understand that they can achieve their goals through unlocking a deeper understanding of their history and how it impacts their current view of themselves. It is my role to help you build momentum of change and to support the expansion of your conscious mind.
If you:
Know you need help and want to make sure there’s no judgment
Feel like the next hard thing might break you
Fear that your coping behavior is beginning to spiral out of control
Worry nobody else would understand your thoughts
I’ll help you:
Reconnect to your strengths
Confront your demons
Love yourself and find forgiveness
Work through anger and discover peace
More About Allison
I was a messy, humbled human before I became a therapist. I’ve been in pain, had my own struggles, and found myself wanting the pain to end. Like many others whose life has been touched by this work, my passion for mental health and personal healing began with my own profound journey. I hit rock bottom, received support, and I was able to find moments of hope and joy that helped me battle my own addictions. With time, care, and every ounce of courage, I transformed my darkest moments into safety and love for my life. Working my own recovery is my “why”, and I am honored to help others access their own strength, healing, and resilience.

Why Unfinished Stories Haunt Us: How Therapy Can Help You Heal
Life rarely wraps things up with a bow. And while we may try to move on, our minds often won’t let us. When something remains open-ended, the mind loops back to it, trying to solve what feels incomplete. This is not a flaw; it’s a function.
Love: The Drug of Choice? Process Addictions & Breaking Free
At its core, addiction is a desperate attempt to numb the pain of life, to fill the emptiness with something—anything—that can make us feel whole, if only for a moment.
Navigating Identity & Addiction: Men’s, Women’s & LGBTQ+ Experiences
Addiction isn’t just about drugs or alcohol—it’s about pain, coping, and the ways we try to feel okay. Whether it's sex, shopping, or substances, addiction often starts as a search for relief.
